Hello Fairies,
Please accept my sincere apologies for neglecting you for God knows how long. I really am sorry, though you were always on my mind. Well, let me catch you up on my crazy busy bee life. I went to the Wireless Festival last Friday and it was an exuberant day! I learned that I could constantly drink water and hold it in for 17 hours - I know, what a Boss B-). I was so close to touching Trey Songz, though the girl in front of me did *double sigh*. Justin Timberlake hit it out of the park for me (of corse). His performance was the best! He is so gorgeous, talented and a crucial asset to todays music industry. Not to mention, he performed The Jacksons' Shake Your Body Down to the Ground! I physically went insane with joy when this happened *closes eyes to reminisce* lol. I knew Mr Timberlake would include something of Michael; it was bound to happen, especially when he played the ending of This Place Hotel at the end of one of his songs. Moving on from my exceptional MJ knowledge, Wireless screamed DIY to me - more of the reason that I had no money and was asked to go 4 days before the concert. I know right?! My DIY outfit consisted of a headband, cropped fringe top and the festival fringe socks! But thank God summer is here! It will go significantly fast and there's nothing our young souls can do *cries* so let us come together and DIY! This one is simple and easy for you to do...
Your Helpers:
- a pair of white calf socks
- lace trimming
- cotton tassel/fringe trimming (mine was from an old poncho)
- needle and thread or fabric glue
- embellishments (optional)
1. Take the fringe trimming and wrap it around your ankle. Leave 2-3cm for the button and hole. Measure the lace to the same length (this is to hide the top part of the fringe trimming). Sew/glue the pieces together, it doesn't matter what side you start with.
2. Sew a button on one end of the trimming, then wrap it around your ankle again to see where to cut the hole. When cutting the hole, always make a small cut and then adjust if needed, as you want it to be secure.
3. Now it's time to sprinkle some fairy dust over these lovelies with some embellishments! Or simply leave them plain like this. You are in control fellow one.
Come to think of it, this is an anklet more than anything! God knows why it took me this long to realize dsjkhsdf hhaha. I can imagine it being worn over the elbow; I'll have to try that one out. Well, I was serious when I said I have countless DIY's for you all, so I know you'll forgive me - you have to! Okay I'm out to carry on with my project, therefore it is until next time Fairies. If you try this DIY out, post a picture and tag #ASdiy on Twitter or Instagram!

DIY: The Ring Holder
Hello Earthlings,
Yes! It's half term dudes! Thought this week would never come though, its practically over and I haven't finished my work - great. I really need to stop procrastinating, it's just taking over my crazy life, but I'm going to beat it out of me if I have to. Well yeah that's what school is like for me at the moment. Getting back to the topic of this post, I got your DIY *underlines 100 times* for yaaa!! So basically, I couldn't find the camera and it was likely to have been my fault. So I had to use my mums iphone. Not the greatest pictures but ohh well. And then I found the camera, after I finished making this. Guess who had it? My mother. LOL, the joy. Well with out further a do, I give you, the ring holder....
Your helpers:
-Magazines
-A Box
-Tape
-Scissors
-Ruler
-Material (preferably cotton)

1. Go to the middle of the magazine and rip a double page out. Then fold it back in half like this.

2. Take your ruler and measure the length from the bottom of the box to the top. Then measure that amount (in my case, 3cm) on the magazine paper.
3. Fold the paper from where you marked it. If you want the paper to be long, then fold from the short side of A4. If you want the paper to be short, fold from the long side of A4.
4. Continue to fold the paper until you can't no more. Tape the outside fold to secure it.
5. I didn't take a picture of this part but take your folded piece or paper and align it against your chosen box and cut off the excess for it to perfectly fit inside the box. Then continue steps 1-4 and fill in the box.
6. Use as much as you can, as you want it to be tight enough to hold your rings though loose enough to fit the rings in place. I don't know how much I used, but you will know how much as it depends on the size of box you chose.
7. Look who was on my TV!! MJ the way you make me feeeeeel *sings and breaks the window*....Ill calm down now.
8. Now get your chosen material, I just used an old top because I just liked the colourful print. Cut pieces of the material and wrap it around each piece of your folded mag paper, then seal it with tape. I didn't take pictures of this step because I forgot and mum was on the phone. Sad times.
Well yes, that's about it for my DIY guys. It was really quick and everything was already in my house! Didn't spend a penny - yeah buddy! Oh yes, that ryhmed B-). And this is the first time I'm posting something from my phone, how cooool?! Well I had to edit it on my comp, but still, the bomb diggidy or what?! Follow me on Instagram if you have it: @shavanafraser_x . Hope you guys try this out because it looks so nice when it's finished. Tell me how it goes, and remember, there's no rules, make it however you like it. One more thing, remember I told you that The Getty Images in Westfield Stratford is showcasing MJs clothes? I booked my ticket for next week Friday!!!!! Im sooo excited, so expect a post dudes! Happy DIYing fellow earthlings.

I'm so excited I'm gonna pretend we didn't abandon you.
Hello lads,
I guess it would be apt to apologise for the lack of absence. Sincere apologies. If it makes things a little better, whilst we've been making you guys suffer, A-levels have decided to make us suffer. There. We're all equal. But we're all done now so Yaaaayyyyyyy Yaayyyy hjavhnds YAAY!!!
Here's what we've been distracting ourselves with:
Joint forces
- WE. UPDATED. THE. BLOG. how do you like it? is it cute? palm trees rule right? Thiis is hooww we dooo itt *head nodding to the 90's beat* We're fully aware that, geographically, we're significantly far from LA, nonetheless, we shall capture the fun and sunshine of LA whilst maintaining that British aloofness.
- The second and third editions of the magazine 'Geek Times' were received, glorified and accepted for the eclectic awesomeness that it is.
- Various visits to open days: UCL (WOOOOOOOOOO), Sussex, Queen Mary.
- Rocking afro's every so often (documented evidence eventually)
Sharrie
- Sharrie went to a Cambridge residential in April and has confirmed that it is, in fact, beautiful.
- All ye lovers of DIY, Hail, for Sharrie is embarking on a project where she will be making all those sought after DIYed bracelets, earings, rings and so forth and selling them to buy toys for Great Ormands Street hospital.
Ammie
- I went to Seville in February (I'm thoroughly ashamed that I am informing you in JULY). Considering Spanish Journalism too.
- I've just finished a UCL summer challenge course where I was able to dork out about Shakespeare, amongst those of similar insanity and I shall be off to a UCL residential in AugustThey'll NEVER make me leave
Let's slink back into sanity.
Long gone are the lazy converse and jeans exam-combo outfits, and out come the much desired "hey, cute outfit" garments. I'm quite a fan of the old maxi skirt, actually, in my head I've become the ambassador for maxi skirts. But I've noticed that the tucking in of the top has become something of a habit. Hence my rebellion. This H&M vest top shall remain UNTUCKED.
Maxi skirt (Topshop), Top (H&M), converse (office), bag (somewhere in Spain), big bracelet (somewhere in Italy- look at me, channelling that touristy look), statement necklace (Spain- Stradivarius)
Just a teensy note... Has anyone been to the Globe? I recently went to watch A Midsummer's Night Dream, with the UCL summer challenge group, and I literally fell deeply and irresponsibly in love with it. A Midsummer's Night Dream has also become one of my absolute favourite Shakespeare plays because it is literally fraught with endless messages about life today, here and now in 2013 whilst ankle bracelets are in fashion and all that- it's still relevant. Shakespeare is the granddaddy of Literature. Chaucer is the great granddaddy. Dickens is the boss of Literature. Sorry, that's all I wanted to say. You should all run along to the Globe and go and learn something about life *cheesy grin*. For five quid (in the yard)!!! Any ideas about which play I should go and see next??
Take care and Godbless, Ammie (: xx

Well, this was fun.
Hello Children,
Goodness it feels odd addressing you all again. You know when you happen to bump into someone you haven't seen in yonks and then you say their name for the first time and it's just like 'well that feels weird'. That is how I feel.
Such is life. Anyway, me and la loca have been busy revising for exams and also busy spending time on whatssapp, complaining about how much procrastinating we have done, regarding revision. So hopefully that explains the month of hibernation. My dreaded Philosophy exam is o v e r (5 second party). I'd like to be able to promise you more posts per month, but I can't. I 've realised that I really really really can't depend on last minute revision. You see, I've always been the dorky kid in class who revises the topic before we even study it in class, but A-level has constructed a totally different girl. So childeren, I'm sticking my head down before it's too late to do so. But yeah Sharrie still has a Government and Politics exam on Monday so prayers would be appreciated lovelies.
I need your undivided attention as I show you our school magazine !! They approved me being the editor (silly billies), which naturally meant that it was going to be awesome. You know I get all fairy like when I pick up Company magazine. You know the whole 'lalalalala life's s'all good' feeling? That is what I'm referring to here. I don't know how editors do it ??? That's a very hard emotion (so to speak) to evoke. Initially, I wanted the graphics to be geeky and very 'doodling in science class'. Then my columnists sent me their articles, including the rather addictive horoscopes page, 'Fashion Fix' which is the best dressed sixth formers page, A DIY page (thanks Sharrie) and even the politics of Spanish Football (Dorky stuff). And it not only became Dorky, but it becameimpossibly perfect insightfulI can feel an unwanted speech coming along so I shall let the pictures do the hablando...
ooooooo don't go yet.
Sharrie seems to ignite my creativity, and I can't believe I have been so selfish as to keep this from you. I am quie selfish sometimes. Anyway, she had this fab idea to create a motivation poster. And I was all like 'no mate, I have no time to make this, I have revision on' and she was all like ' Mateeeee with this poster in your life, you will do ten times more revision' and I was all 'okay'. Thus came my motivation poster.
Folks I am very tired, and I have double Spanish and English Coursework to look forward to tomorrow "/
So there will be no editting, apologising for lack of quality etc etc. I will just about explain my choices. So the source of my motivation:Jesus, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Charles Dickens, Audrey Hepburn (all beautiful people), UCL, all things vinatge, dorky quotes and ummmm living in Camden. You wait till you see Sharrie's. Before the comparison's commence,I just want to say that I have NEVER been a perfectionist.
Take care and God bless

Making this the one drop, and we still find time to rock.
Hello bros.
How are we all on this fine Sunday morn? I'm feeling fab, thank you so very much for asking. Apologies for my lack of appearance, but I'm quite sad to say that I dont think any of you noticed when the creative genius that is Sharrie has been chucking these amazing blog posts at ya. Can I just say how much I adored the Ring holder post.
And here I am hobbling along, trying to offer you something that scratches the decent line. I'm kidding of course. I'm amazing. You love me.
On with ze post.
Back pack: Portobello Market
Coat: Republic £60
Headphones : HMV £30
So fellows, that's what I've been splurging my wages on. I think my style has swayed towards hip hop 90's. Yup definitely. I've been donning maxi skirts with this tribal chunky coat. Beads in my hair. Crazy prints just added for sake of it- you know what, I shall just show you what I mean.
I swear. who wouldn't want to be her ??????!!! Love 90's hip hop!! And they didnt even know t'was fashion! Fresh Prince of Bel Air has become the source of my fashpiration. This Episode *.* The trousers that Tyra Banks wears are shown clearly in this episode, but they're high wasted with a thick black belt. Its frightening how much I want this style. Bob Marley. Although I am inspired by my Jamaican roots, I don't feel entirely right tapping away about Fashion when Bob Marley was such an inspiration, politically and spiritually. I've downloaded as much of his music as my shabby Blackberry would permit, and it's clear to see that he delivered a message. Be it a message of politics, as shown in one of my faves Ambush in the night or a message of culture in Smile Jamaica or even a religious message (Amen)in the amazing Exodus.
So that's it for today. I hope I've inspired you in one way or another. I do have a lot of work on, buuuuttt whenever I get enough time between Sixth Form, work, the magazine (which I forgot to take pics for) and debating, I shall deliver some heavenly DIY post. I have actually been spreading my creativity via my clothes but again, no photographic evidence. (HOw many times can one woman apologise ?!)
God bless you, Ammie xx

I'll Always Remember This Time...
Hello Earthlings,
Yes, yes Friday has gone which means I've already been to the Michael Jackson event (well like duhhh). But anyway....IT WAS AMAZEBALLSSS!! Like seriously, it was so epic in my opinion. So I went after school, by myself, because I'm just an independent Don like that B-). The presentation of the place was so cool. The walls were white so it was really bright and when you walk in to present your ticket, there are 3 hugeeee walls with a picture of him on it!! Just the bomb diggidy man! Yes I took pictures, though on my 5th/6th one, the security guard told me I wasn't allowed to take pictures; burst my excitement bubble why don’t you?! Goodness. But he didn’t make me delete the ones I already had, though guess what?! MY mother deleted the pictures by ''accident'' - yes I cried. I literally thought my head was going to blow off I was just. Ahhh.
Well anyway, my key items from there were of course his gloves, it looked so nice. It took 72 hours to hand stitch the diamonds, then to be hand sewn together. Seriously, the bomb diggidy. Another was his gold jeans he wore with a bronze/gold/brown print black shirt and I thought, how would I wear something like that? Then it came to me. Gold jeans with a leopard print shirt. And get this, I went into Forever 21 and what did I see? Gold jeans next to a leopard print shirt - ohhh yeaaah B-). Next thing was he wore a black collared shirt with a collar chain, it really nice. He was size 9.5 for shoes and size small for boxers - he had Harrods boxers. LOL I sound like a psycho, but it was there for me to see. I loved all his leather jackets, they were really cool. OMG, the hat he wore in the Smooth Criminal video, it was really nice; I love hats like that. He wore this purple baggy onesie/jumpsuit at his bad tour, which was really cool in all. Oh and the blue shirt he wore in The Way You Make Me Feel, it was a silk, I really liked that shirt. Well in other words, everything was amazeballs!!
That was my Friday night folks! Hope you liked this post, told you it would come! While I was in Stratford i had a chance to go to Victoria’s Secret and picked up these beauties *love struck face* I LOVE STRAWBERRIES AND CHAMPAGNE!!!! *triple love struck face* I literally love Victoria's Secret. I'm going to watch Grease and do my work so yeah, have a happy Sunday and you can still go if you want, I’ll give you the link (until Nov 17th).

Little bit busy you see.
Hello friends,
Ashamedly, this is our first post of October(aha cringe). Never the less we shall try to provide you with something that is ummmm good (?).
In fact, what we'll do is splurge out thoughts about the past 29 years (thats about the last time we posted right?).
Right
This is what Ammie has neglected the Earthlings for:
-Sixth form !!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why I am soo excited, A-levels are well hard. For anyone who cares, I am doing English Lit, Spanish, Philosophy and Maths (Statistics DEFINITELY not Mechanics). Dudes English Lit is AWESOME. Regular (and very loyal) readers will know that I am a BookDork, and so naturally when I was asked to write an essay in the first lesson I was just like "yo" B). We're studying the Great Gatsby and also Rossetti for poetry (so far).
- Paralympics is durnnn (very durnnn), but wowzer I loved it. I'm not really a sports lover, but I was more than inspired (I mean the word 'inspired' seems so... not right, I was more than inspired). Nathan Stephens was definitely the hero in my eyes for these games, I love his mentality and positiveness, he is the Gold medalist in my eyes.
- Had a job interview for Holland and Barrett, and ended up getting the job. (Five second party!!). I initially thought that it would be the type of job that I could sit and study whilst 1 customer a day comes moaning along. Wrong. I can say that I have plenty of customers moaning along to keep me going.
- Blogspiration #001: Okies I was rummaging through 'cos its the bees knees' blog and I came across two "hajgavamhd" posts.
Genius post number one was DIY custard creams. The best thing is that these custard creams are healthier, and you only need 5 INGREDIENTS!!! And Genius post number two was DIY slogan tee. Everyone check out their blog! I made this DIY tee for my aunty. I madly need to get one of these tees for myself, I would love to write a 90's jam song lyric on my tee! (and yeah blogspiration will become a regular feature. your welcome)
- Started a Sixth-Form school Magazine (no biggie voice). Thats going really well, being the Editor is SUCH a huge responsibility though. But you know what, if I am going to have a chance at being a Journalist I really have to take on this responsibility with the scariest amount of enthusiasm. I dont actually think that I have ever informed you guys about my ambition of enterring the world of Journalism. Well now you know. If any of you lovelies have any tips on getting into the industry, do share !
- I should probably add some fashiony stuff. I went through a phase where I loved hard core 60's dresses last month. Now I am in drastic desire of a certain burgandy polo jumper that I saw in H&M. We haven't done any outfit posts in a while ... hmmmm do expect some.
Thats me done, back to Philosophy homework...
Lets us re-connect together Earthlings! I have not forgotten about you - not just yet now muwahaha (evil laugh). Yes yes I know, its bad to laugh at your own joke…well who cares?! ANYWAYY heyy (: I missed the excitement of making a new post. But you know why we haven’t, it’s that wonderful thing we’re all secretly grateful for, school! So yes, its 6th form time and I am studying: Maths (Statistics), History, Government & Politics and Business Studies. From this, I am very sure that I want to become a politician *yeaah buddy*, its quite interesting I’d have to say. How this country is governed, how and why we have the electoral system etc, though I wont bore you with this okay?! I saved you. Well as you can see, well read, my life is not as exciting as dear Ammie’s.
Ahhh let me think…
-Made some cool new friends. So happy that we have new Earthlings in our school, you know, to widen these small horizons Greenford has given us. Not that I’m complaining, I don’t want everyone to know me, please!!! *yes I was joking* I really need to work on some jokes, so not the bomb. LOL when an attractive guy only talks to you about homework, how do you feel?! Sighhh…
-To my D.I.Y people on the net !! Don’t think I’ve forgotten about you lovelies. The amount of DIY’s I have planned is mind blowing! It will LITERALLY blow awayyyyyy. So stay tuned folks.
-Following from that, I am EDITORS ASSISTANT for the school magazine *happy dances* its so radical dude. No seriously, you will wish you came to our school to read it. It will be the bomb; I have faith in it you see. Our team is just like bread and butter, we just mix so well. We are truly on fire. MY part in the mag is mainly about DIY and then helping everyone else with theirs – duhhhhh. I state the obvious too much.
-OMG SLAP ME NOW! Firstly, for my TOWIE fans, I saw Joey Essex in Stratford Westfield. Yes I know, you’re well jel! Though I didn’t speak to him, you know because I didn’t like the way I looked and simply just didn’t want to. Ha! Secondly, for my MJ family out there, at Stratford Westfield The Getty Images Gallery is holing this event: The Collection of Tompkins & Bush: Michael Jackson Wardrobe! It features some of his iconic outfits and the famous diamond glove *dies*. From the 5th October – 4th November! Here’s the link so you can read more about it. I will be there so expect a post about the amazing trip!
Well, like I said before, it was very nice re-connecting with you guys. I feel more complete *wipes joyful tear* God bless, take care and other such ramblings ♥
